Helping You Cope

The times we may benefit from therapy differ greatly: INTEGRAL COPING THERAPY is here to assist when needed, offering counseling and psychological services in Dalian, China

Not everyone needs therapy, nor does everyone need therapy often. Sometimes, due to the complexities of life, relationships, depression, anxiety, family-of-origin problems, substance abuse, inter-cultural marriage challenges, cross-cultural difficulties or psycho-spiritual development, talking with an experienced therapist is helpful. Friends often satisfy our need for understanding, as does family—but who can we safely talk to who knows skills to clarify and help us solve our problems if family is a source of these problems?

More than just a listening ear, a therapist has been trained and educated to listen more closely to conscious and unconscious communication, and to draw out the clients abilities and together work to empower the person to solve their own difficulties.

Cognitive, behavioral & emotional therapeutic methods are all used depending on one's needs at the time

To create an integrated approach to personal challenges and developmental processes, Integral Coping Therapy combines the insight of psychology and spirituality with the findings of science—brain sciences, emotional sciences, and biological sciences—to provide a holistic framework for your personal and social integration.

Integral Coping Therapy is not a new approach of therapy but a professional commitment to you.

Same person, different needs: As we live our lives, we each have differing needs depending on the particular relationship, the stage of our life—youth, student, worker, husband/wife, parent, etc.—as well as the pressures we are experiencing within our social situation. These needs change and therapy must be adaptable to these changing needs we have. Furthermore, our goals change as we understand more of the influences in our life.

Integral Coping Therapy works to assist in the integration of conscious and unconscious dynamics (what we are and are not aware of, of our thoughts, attitudes, and behavior).

Helping you cope with your personal and family integrity by honoring:

Confidentiality: The commitment to maintain your secrets and difficulties is of primary importance in a therapeutic relationship. As long as there is nothing that is deemed life-threatening that arises, confidential conversation is critical.

Respect for individual differences: Each person is unique, though we all share some common traits. We each have different moral and value system that must be respected. Cultural, belief, and family systems and standards are vital to keep in mind, challenge and clarify if needed. Some people have no belief and any sensitive counselor must respect others values.
